I recently lost my job and have a car on fnance, even thou I have been payin for payment protection plan, but because my wife is claiming for me they are now tellin me that they are NOT goin to pay! Just because I am not on jobseekers and my wife is on income support.I have payment protection on my car, but beacause my wife is claiming for me, they won't pay out. Any advice?
Look at the samll print on your insurance. If it was supposed to protect you if you lost your job then you need to see what conditions apply. Get yourself on jobseekers allowance if that was a condition. They will try to wriggle out of paying for the slightest thing - don't give up at the first attempt - just keep pestering them - they are told to reject claims at the first attempt - that is how they make their money.
