Well, hopefully she won't delivery until she's at least 37 weeks which is considered full-term. Why did the physician do an internal exam so early? Was your wife having signs of labor? Good luck to ya'll.What's good advice if my wife is 2 cm dilated, and 80% effaced, and 34 weeks into her pregnancy?
I suggest she take it easy. No heavy lifting, no walking too much... She should stay off her feet as much as possible. Warm showers but not hot showers or baths. And NO sex. Hopefully the baby waits a couple more weeks but if not your baby will be fine. Remember, some women dilate early but still don't deliver till after their due dates. Good Luck!!What's good advice if my wife is 2 cm dilated, and 80% effaced, and 34 weeks into her pregnancy?
you should contact her midwife and make her take things easy , if the baby does come dont worry bubs is very much fully formed and quite capable of surviving
cross her legs for two more weeks. lungs don't fully develop until 36 weeks.
